Do you have experience with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour? Are you confident in de-escalating challenging situations? I am working with an excellent SEMH PRU based in the heart of Leicester City who pride themselves in their inclusivity and neurodiversity. This PRU caters for students between the ages of 5-12 who present with significant complexity and co-morbidity; linked to childhood trauma, loss of homes or relationships, bullying or multiple exclusions.
The PRU is seeking an experienced LSA to provide full support to the students and transform their attitude towards learning and make the most out of their academic journeys. The behaviour presented here is challenging, therefore resilience and adaptability is crucial.
The ideal LSA will have:
- SEN experience, preferably with SEMH and challenging behaviour.
- Resilience and adaptability to overcome challenges whilst following protocol.
- A genuine passion for SEN and transforming the lives of students.
- Excellent rapport-building skills with students and staff.
