We are recruiting experienced Teaching Assistants to join a dedicated and supportive Special Educational Needs secondary school in Tower Hamlets, starting September 2026. The school supports secondary-aged pupils with PMLD, SLD and Autism, providing a safe, structured and inclusive environment where pupils’ individual needs are at the heart of everything they do.

The Role

  • Work full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 16:00
  • Support pupils with complex needs on a 1:1 and small-group basis
  • Assist with learning activities, communication support and personal care where required
  • Implement strategies set out in EHCPs alongside class teachers and therapists
  • Help create a calm, positive and engaging learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has previous experience working with people with PMLD, SLD and/or Autism
  • Is patient, resilient and empathetic
  • Can work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
