Are you interested in getting into teaching? If so, Career Teachers Leicester needs you! We are seeking talented Cover Teachers (Unqualified Teachers) to work in our fantastic schools & colleges. The position offers an excellent opportunity for Cover Teachers to gain further school-based experience before moving onto teacher training in the future.
IMMEDIATE START – full & part time
Pay £140.00 – £250.00p/day
We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, forward-thinking cover teachers and graduates in Science, Maths, English, or PE who want to gain classroom experience before starting a PGCE/GTP, or who want experience teaching in a school or college.
Responsibilities
- This job requires you to effectively manage the classes in the teacher’s absence and to also undertake additional duties when requested to do so.
- You may cover lessons in the morning and then coach PE in the afternoon.
- The role is varied and keeps you on your toes!
- The candidate will have support and training provided by the current Heads of Department, alongside other experienced Teachers.
- You will be required to manage the class and establish a good working environment so that all pupils can work to the best of their ability.
- You must ensure you give the pupils the correct resources needed to effectively complete work provided.
- The right candidate will also be required to understand and learn the school policy so that your management and control of the pupils follow the guidelines of the policy.
- You must be able to communicate well with the pupils so that they understand the work that has been set for them and complete it to the best of their ability.
The School will provide all necessary training and development, however, the candidate must be confident of their own abilities.
Qualifications
- All degrees welcome.
- Desirable but not essential – Maths / Science / English degree / other degree.
- Desirable but not essential – FE qualification.
- A fully enhanced UK DBS on the update service. If you do not have one, Career Teachers will process one on your behalf.
