Career Teachers is seeking passionate, dedicated and adaptable Subject Specialist Supply Teachers with UK QTS to work across a number of secondary schools within a highly respected and established Multi-Academy Trust across Leeds and Harrogate.

This is an excellent opportunity for qualified teachers looking for flexibility, work-life balance, or longer-term placements within supportive and well-led schools. We are recruiting teachers across a range of subject areas including English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, Modern Foreign Languages, Design Technology, PE, Computing and Creative Arts.

About the Role

As a Subject Specialist Supply Teacher, you will deliver engaging and effective lessons within your specialist subject area, maintain high expectations for learning and behaviour, and positively contribute to the educational development of students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 in some settings.

You will have the flexibility to choose assignments that suit your availability, from daily cover to long-term positions, while gaining experience in a range of successful secondary schools across the trust.

You will be an enthusiastic and knowledgeable qualified teacher who is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and inspiring students to achieve their full potential. You will be confident working within different school settings and capable of building positive relationships quickly with students and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality lessons within your specialist subject area
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Maintain positive classroom behaviour and promote a culture of respect and achievement
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback where required
  • Follow school policies, safeguarding procedures and curriculum expectations
  • Create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with school staff, students and parents where appropriate
  • Contribute positively to the wider school community during placements

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) gained in the UK
  • Experience teaching within a UK secondary school setting
  • Strong subject knowledge within your specialist area
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • A flexible, proactive and professional approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
  • Right to work in the UK
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

Desirable Experience

  • Experience teaching across Key Stages 3, 4 and/or 5
  • Previous experience working on supply or within multiple school settings
  • Experience delivering exam-focused lessons and supporting attainment outcomes
  • Additional subject specialisms or pastoral experience
