Career Teachers are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Art Technician to support the teaching and learning provision within a busy and creative Art & Photography Department in a mainstream secondary school. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, organisation and maintenance of equipment, chemicals, tools, materials and learning resources, ensuring a safe and effective working environment for staff and students alike. In addition, the role will support the wider school community by assisting with whole-school displays, offering practical advice and creative support where required. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has experience working within a school art department and who thrives in a fast-paced environment with a varied workload.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous experience working in a school Art or Photography department
  • Be organised, proactive and able to manage a wide range of tasks
  • Have knowledge of art materials, equipment and safe working practices
  • Be confident supporting teachers and students in a practical setting
  • Enjoy working as part of a team within a creative environment

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm
  • Term time only
