The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Electrical testing engineer to join our growing business and take a lead part in testing & remedials within our commercial maintenance contracts & domestic settings. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong, experienced tester who has developed a range of skills including problem solving, adaptability and is self-motivated with the ability of self-management and the choice to take the extra responsibility of being a QS. This role will suit someone who is more than just a good electrician; we are looking for someone who has been around the block, experienced, highly knowledgeable and maybe considering part time / full time testing; the role can be moulded to the right candidate.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Taking responsibility for the testing, certification & remedials.
  • Dealing with clients directly with support from our admin team.
  • Teaching your skills to an apprentice.
  • Keeping up to date with current regulations and staying ahead of changes.
  • Hybrid role FT position 1 day WFH to complete test sheets & verify.
  • Working with NICEIC software.

What We’re Looking For

  • A qualified Approved Electrician with relevant electrical qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
  • 18th Edition (BS7671).
  • Proven experience in testing is essential.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • 2391 / 2392 Inspection & Testing or equivalent.

Desirable Qualifications

  • SMSTS / SSSTS / NEBOSH.
