Career Moves are partnering with a renowned Media business who are looking for a Senior Finance Analyst to join their team in central London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual who is keen on taking the next step in a highly commercial and fast-paced environment. Partnering with Sales, Ops Teams, along with the wider business, this role requires a confident communicator who can build and maintain relationships from the off.
Duties:
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to support financial planning and performance improvement.
- Analyse financial and operational data to identify key drivers and provide actionable insights.
- Deliver accurate monthly reports, variance analysis, and maintain core KPIs for actuals, budgets, and forecasts.
- Manage core finance processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and bonus calculations.
- Track revenue trends and ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS).
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and headcount reporting aligned with strategic goals.
- Develop and enhance financial models and tools to support decision-making.
- Provide high-level commentary and analysis to senior leadership.
- Ensure strong financial controls, compliance with policies, and integrity across systems.
- Support internal and external reporting, audits, and ad-hoc analysis requests.
Key skills:
- Part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/FCA) or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience in both B2B and B2C environments, ideally within the media sector.
- Strong background in management accounting, budgeting, and financial planning.
- Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to design and build complex financial models.
