The Assistant Management Accountant position within the Finance department is a varied and rewarding opportunity for a motivated individual seeking to grow and develop their finance career. The role provides key support to the Finance team and senior stakeholders through the preparation of financial reports, assistance with budgeting and reforecasting, variance analysis, account reconciliations, Accounts Payable and Trust support, and assistance during the month-end close process.

Duties

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including year-end roll-forward activities.
  • Support the budgeting and reforecasting process, including variance analysis to identify and explain key movements.
  • Produce accurate and timely financial reports for senior stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.
  • Complete balance sheet and profit and loss account reconciliations.
  • Support cost analysis initiatives to identify efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and policies.
  • Support the maintenance of financial systems and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Understanding other areas within finance team to provide support and create resilience within the team.
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the Distribution finance team as required.

Skills

  • 2-3 years of finance experience in a similar role.
  • Good excel knowledge.
  • ERP experience.
