Job Overview
Our client is seeking a dynamic Program and Community Manager to join their Developer Relations team in EMEA. This hybrid role combines program management excellence with community engagement expertise to drive developer success and adoption of their services. You will be responsible for planning and executing strategic programs while fostering vibrant developer communities, working closely with Developer Advocates and cross-functional teams to maximize impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive strategy and execution for developer-focused programs, including first-party AWS and third-party community events
- Manage complex, cross-functional initiatives to scale the impact of Developer Advocates
- Create and maintain program dashboards, metrics, and reporting mechanisms to track success and demonstrate business value
- Optimize processes and introduce automation to improve team efficiency and content production workflows
- Partner with internal stakeholders to align developer programs with broader business objectives
- Manage program budgets and vendor relationships effectively
Community Management (50%):
- Own and scale AWS User Groups program, including growth strategy and health metrics
- Build and nurture relationships with community leaders and members through regular engagement
- Support the planning and execution of AWS Community Days and other community-led events
- Track community health metrics and adjust strategy based on changing community needs
- Create feedback loops between the community and internal AWS teams
- Enable community leaders to grow their memberships and deliver impactful events
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in program or project management
- 3+ years of experience in a customer facing role
- Proven track record of managing complex programs and stakeholder relationships
- Good data analysis skills and experience using metrics to drive improvements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience working with technical communities and understanding developer needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in community management or developer relations
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials
- Experience working with remote, international teams
- Proficiency in a main language in a sub region in EMEA: German, French, Spanish…
- Experience with digital marketing tools (Qualtrics, Marketo, Salesforce)
- Knowledge of project management tools (Asana, JIRA, etc.)
