Overview: As a UX content writer, you will focus on creating clear, concise, and user-centered content that enhances the overall user experience (UX) of a product or service. Your role involves writing copy for websites, apps, and other digital platforms, ensuring that it aligns with the brand’s tone, guides users effectively, and helps them navigate interfaces with ease. The goal is to make information accessible, intuitive, and engaging, while also working closely with designers, developers, and product teams to ensure seamless integration of content within the design. You will also test and optimize content to meet user needs and improve usability.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, research, and create content for medium-sized projects or parts of larger projects with little supervision.
  • Work independently to deliver high-quality work on time, meeting user needs.
  • Manage your own priorities and make progress with minimal guidance.

Key Challenges:

  • Develop content plans for medium-sized projects or contribute to plans for larger projects.
  • Identify and solve problems with project requirements or how tasks fit into larger goals.

Collaboration:

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and collaborate with different teams (like engineering, project management, and other writers).
  • Help improve document flow and readability, and negotiate solutions to project challenges.
  • Define timelines and tasks for your assigned project components.
  • Address any conflicts that may arise to prevent issues within the team.

Expertise:

  • Understand the technical details of products or projects to anticipate user questions and needs.
  • Have knowledge of content creation tools and processes to create quality content for various products or programs.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM field.
  • 5-10+ years of experience as a teacher, professor, or educator in a K-12 or higher education setting, with a focus on STEM subjects.
