The Role

We are recruiting an experienced and highly target-driven EMEA Sales Team Leader to manage and develop a regional field sales team operating across the UK, France and Spain.

This is a hands-on sales leadership and sales operations role.

You will directly manage a team of approximately nine junior field sales professionals who are responsible for taking assigned leads through the full sales cycle, from initial outreach and client meetings through to closing and onboarding.

The successful candidate will be responsible for team performance, sales targets, coaching, pipeline management, conversion, CRM reporting, operational processes and communication across multiple EMEA markets.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales leader who enjoys coaching junior team members, using data to improve performance and building structure within a fast-moving technology or marketplace environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Directly manage, coach and develop a field sales team across the UK, France and Spain.
  • Set clear weekly, monthly and quarterly sales targets, KPIs and performance expectations.
  • Ensure team members progress assigned leads through the full sales cycle.
  • Coach the team on outreach, client engagement, meetings, negotiation, closing and onboarding.
  • Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, pipeline reviews and performance coaching sessions.
  • Monitor individual and team performance against sales targets.
  • Identify underperformance and implement effective coaching and performance improvement plans.
  • Improve lead generation, pipeline management, conversion and sales productivity.
  • Design and maintain sales playbooks, processes and reporting cadences.
  • Use performance data to identify trends, gaps and commercial opportunities.
  • Build dashboards and produce regular sales performance reports for senior stakeholders.
  • Own CRM accuracy, pipeline reporting and sales administration.
  • Support territory planning and market prioritisation across EMEA.
  • Partner with product, marketing, onboarding and operations teams.
  • Ensure the sales team has the correct messaging, tools and resources to engage and close prospective partners.
  • Gather market intelligence and communicate feedback to internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure newly acquired partners receive a consistent and high-quality onboarding experience.

Essential Experience

  • At least 8 years of experience within sales leadership, sales operations, business operations or a commercial sales function.
  • Proven experience directly managing, coaching and developing a sales team.
  • Strong experience working within a target-driven sales environment.
  • Previous responsibility for setting and managing team sales targets and KPIs.
  • Clear evidence of achieving or exceeding commercial targets.
  • Experience managing pipeline performance, conversion rates and sales activity.
  • Strong understanding of the complete sales cycle, from lead allocation and outreach through to closing and onboarding.
  • Experience managing junior or developing sales professionals.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to improve sales performance.
  • Experience creating sales reports, dashboards and performance frameworks.
  • Strong CRM experience, ideally using Salesforce or Hub Spot.
  • Experience working within a technology, marketplace, platform or high-growth business.
  • Experience managing teams across multiple countries, regions or markets.
  • Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving and ambiguous environment.
  • Based in or within commuting distance of London.
  • Able to attend the London office twice per week.
  • Target-Driven Sales Experience Is Mandatory

Candidates must clearly demonstrate target-driven sales leadership on their CV. CVs must include evidence of:

  • Managing a sales team against defined targets.
  • Setting and monitoring weekly, monthly or quarterly KPIs.
  • Achieving or exceeding revenue, acquisition or conversion targets.
  • Coaching team members to improve performance.
  • Managing sales pipelines and conversion rates.
  • Using data to identify performance gaps and determine action plans.
  • Taking responsibility for measurable commercial outcomes.

Candidates whose CVs focus mainly on general operations, project management or stakeholder management without clear sales targets and results are unlikely to be progressed.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within a marketplace or platform business such as Uber, Treatwell, Deliveroo or a similar organisation.
  • Experience working with small and medium-sized businesses, independent partners or service providers.
  • Experience within the gig economy, hospitality, travel, local services or consumer technology.
  • Experience managing field sales teams across the UK, France and Spain.
  • Experience selling to owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurs or side-hustle professionals.
  • Experience using business intelligence or data visualisation tools.
  • Understanding of different sales approaches and cultural considerations across EMEA markets.
  • Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a commercially focused and target-oriented sales leader who is comfortable combining people management with sales operations and data analysis.

You will have a proven record of managing a field sales team and will understand how to coach junior sales professionals through the full sales journey, from receiving a lead to securing a meeting, closing the opportunity and successfully onboarding the client or partner.

You will be structured, analytical and hands-on, with the ability to identify what is preventing a team from achieving its targets and introduce practical improvements to coaching, processes, tools and reporting.

You will also be a confident communicator who can manage stakeholders across different functions, cultures and geographies while maintaining a clear focus on commercial performance.
