CMG are excited to be working with one of the most prestigious and recognised media brands in the world who are looking to onboard an experienced Procurement Manager. The successful candidate will support the Director of Procurement Global Markets, Technology and Indirect to maximise value from spend and drive savings while balancing other business requirements, including quality, service, risk, and security of supply across the full bandwidth of global technology products and requirements.
Overview
This role is responsible for maximising value from technology and indirect spend, delivering cost efficiencies, and ensuring quality, service continuity, and risk management across a broad range of global technology categories. The position also oversees the implementation and execution of the organisation’s technology procurement strategy. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to modernise delivery models, review legacy agreements, and ensure commercial objectives are met. The role contributes directly to wider organisational goals and strategic ambitions.
Team Structure
You will join a global procurement function, collaborating with a wider international team of Procurement Managers and reporting into a senior procurement leader.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide category insights to support procurement leadership and enhance sourcing processes.
- Work with stakeholders to scope, plan, and deliver technology sourcing strategies.
- Lead and support change initiatives that drive strategic procurement improvements.
- Oversee licensing portfolios to ensure usage aligns with budget and prevent unplanned costs.
- Manage technology supplier contracts, tracking renewals and negotiating terms to support savings and risk mitigation.
- Develop programmes to improve stakeholder capability when engaging with suppliers.
- Coordinate cross‑functional initiatives to review spend and identify effective sourcing approaches.
- Maintain robust governance across category management and procurement decision stages.
- Promote collaboration and information sharing across procurement teams.
- Conduct strategic supplier and category reviews using market intelligence to identify improvement opportunities.
- Manage frameworks and tools that monitor and validate supplier performance and KPIs.
- Provide expert procurement guidance, ensuring best‑practice processes and high‑quality service delivery.
- Carry out external research to benchmark best practice and identify opportunities for alignment or collaboration.
- Use market, supplier, and financial intelligence to inform category strategies.
- Support market engagement activities and stakeholder consultations.
- Lead negotiations on commercial elements of major contracts, ensuring value for money and strong contractual outcomes.
- Oversee end‑to‑end sourcing processes, including tender documentation, evaluation methods, and contract mobilisation activities.
