We are recruiting for a Policy Specialist to join a global Trust & Safety team. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in content moderation, policy operations, trust & safety, legal content review, platform integrity, or online safety within a technology or digital platform environment.
You will support the development, implementation, and enforcement of platform policies, helping to ensure user safety, regulatory compliance, and operational effectiveness across products and services. This is an individual contributor role and does not require previous management experience.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and resolve complex policy and content-related escalations.
- Support the development, implementation, and enforcement of product policies and standards.
- Identify, assess, and prioritise policy, regulatory, and trust & safety risks.
- Work cross-functionally with product, legal, operations, and vendor teams.
- Support policy launches, process improvements, and operational initiatives.
- Conduct investigations and respond to policy-related enquiries.
- Apply regional and cultural knowledge to policy decisions and enforcement actions.
- Help ensure products remain compliant with regulatory requirements and platform standards.
- Analyse emerging trends and recommend policy improvements.
- 2–4 years’ experience in Trust & Safety, Content Moderation, Policy Operations, Legal Content Review, Risk & Compliance, Platform Integrity, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of content moderation processes and policy enforcement.
- Experience working within a technology, social media, internet, or digital platform environment.
- Ability to analyse complex issues and make sound policy recommendations.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities.
- Fluent English language skills.
- German language skills preferred.
- Additional European language skills would be advantageous.
- Experience working for major online platforms, social media companies, or Trust & Safety operations teams.
- Knowledge of European regulatory frameworks affecting online platforms.
