Field Merchandising Manager
Location: UK, London
Length: 12 months
Rate: From £35.10p/h (Inside IR35), Negotiable
Hours: 40 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Prioritize large volumes of projects across thousands of retail doors, most with tight deadlines and extreme complexity, with guidance from the Field Merchandising Lead.
- Partner closely with internal and external key partners to align and drive impact and results efficiently and accurately while moving fast.
- Act as liaison between regional third-party labour agencies, fixture display companies, channel marketing managers, demo tech team, field sales, visual merchandising, and Essilor Luxottica on retail partner issues.
- Manage third-party labour agencies to execute projects in brick-and-mortar retailers globally, ensuring deliverables are met.
- Build detailed execution plans for initiatives across multiple product lines.
- Review instructions and execution for multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
- Understand display fixture production and installation processes to prepare workback schedules and deliverables for internal and external sharing.
- Understand various retailer third-party labour operations to ensure best-in-class execution.
- Track field execution progress and results, and prepare reports for internal stakeholders.
- Analyze demo data, identify potential roadblocks, and collaborate with external partners to ensure in-store demo compliance.
- Work closely with the Field Merchandising Lead to ensure all third-party labour projects stay within budget.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in retail in-store merchandising, either on the brand side or vendor side.
- 5+ years of project management experience.
- 3+ years of third-party labour management experience.
- Proven ability to understand retailer operating conditions and how they impact planning and execution across product lines.
- Experience sharing program and project updates across broad teams, demonstrating transparency and clear communication.
- Extremely high level of accuracy and attention to detail, especially in complex fixture installations.
- Experience managing relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and external vendors.
- Experience partnering with external stakeholders.
- Ability to identify root causes of issues and coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve them.
- Strong interpersonal skills, approachable and adaptable.
- Experience navigating organizational environments with varying cultures and structures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Google G Suite and Microsoft Office suite.
