As Business Planning & Operations Lead in Reality Labs, you will bridge the technical and business worlds as you partner closely with cross‑functional teams across Google to bring Augmented Reality, Mixed Reality and Artificial Intelligence Products to consumers around the world. You will provide cross‑functional leadership across multiple regions to chart strategic direction in sync with overall company roadmaps, while delivering flexible sales‑focused capabilities that meet near to long‑term business needs. Your goal is that the business is well‑positioned to move fast in adapting for scale and complexity.
The successful candidate must be able to roll‑up his/her sleeves. He/she will be passionate about their work, detail‑oriented, analytical, and have excellent problem‑solving abilities. He/she will drive towards simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems, have excellent project‑management skills, and be able to communicate complex analytical results in a clear and easy‑to‑understand way. Most importantly, the successful candidate will be adept at utilising AI agents to improve and accelerate strategy and execution. Prior experience supporting stakeholders will be critical to success. Additionally, this leader must be passionate about Augmented Reality, Artificial Intelligence, Wearables and Virtual Reality, and be an inspiring leader who can quickly build relationships with cross‑functional partners, teammates, and stakeholders alike.
Responsibilities
- Drive streamlined and efficient processes (e.g., reporting, prioritization) to further streamline rhythm of the business and team launch activities.
- Manage global initiatives whilst working with the regional teams and also drive alignment and develop projects at regional level that have potential to scale at a global level.
- Improve operational excellence through identification and execution of initiatives that create efficiency, remove obstacles, or create improved processes and approaches to the business. This includes identifying ways in which AI and other tools can be built and deployed to improve workflows.
- Support sales teams on medium/long‑term planning including deep analytics of business potential.
- Business partnership with key leaders.
- Build cross‑functional relationships and be able to establish resources to help solve complex interdisciplinary problems on behalf of the business.
Minimum Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in Management Strategy Consulting, corporate strategy/Sales Planning & Operations or in a relevant field.
- Experience working within Consumer sales channels (Retail, Telco) solving complex business problems to drive projects from strategy to execution.
- Leadership and influencing skills, can lead/influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
- Experience working cross‑functionally with leadership in developing and executing successful plans.
- Knowledge of organisational dynamics, change management, and process improvement.
- Project management experience.
- Proficient with CRM and Data Visualisation and Analytical tools Excel and PowerPoint, Google Suite.
- BA/BS in an analytical field or related field (e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Business or related field).
- Experience to develop or oversee advanced quantitative analysis and derive actionable insights.
- Results and detail‑oriented, with experience in commercial/business acumen.
- Effective communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or graduate degree in an analytical field.
- Experience with consumer retail, telcos, Optical and/or DTC.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and drive initiatives in a cross‑functional environment.
- Experience working with or in support of diverse communities.
- International experience and/or multicultural skills.
