The opportunity We are recruiting for an experienced

Retail & Brand Commercial Manager to join the Consumer Products division of a leading global entertainment company.

This role will act as the primary retail marketing lead for the UK and Ireland, developing commercially focused campaigns that connect well-known entertainment brands with consumers across key retail channels.

You will work closely with Retail, Category, Franchise, Creative and Commercial teams to deliver integrated marketing activity that increases brand awareness, consumer engagement and sales.

Although marketing is a major part of the role, the successful candidate must bring a strong commercial mindset and understand how marketing activity contributes to retail performance, licensing revenue and wider business objectives.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and delivery of short- and long-term retail marketing strategies.
  • Develop innovative marketing activations that drive awareness and sales across key retail and commercial accounts.
  • Deliver compelling omnichannel campaigns across major entertainment brands and franchises.
  • Manage the development and execution of marketing and product campaigns with UK and Ireland retailers.
  • Create tailored campaigns that provide individual retail partners with a clear point of difference.
  • Identify consumer, retail and social trends and use these insights to shape marketing strategies.
  • Work closely with commercial leads to support retailer relationships, joint business planning and strategic growth.
  • Prepare pitch presentations, business reviews and data-led sales materials.
  • Ensure commercial objectives are incorporated into marketing and execution plans.
  • Manage media campaigns and relationships with creative and media agencies.
  • Partner with internal Franchise and Creative teams to ensure all activity complies with brand guidelines.
  • Monitor campaign performance and produce reports, analysis and recommendations.
  • Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders across a large, matrixed organisation.

Skills and experience

  • Strong retail marketing experience, ideally within consumer products, entertainment, licensing or a related sector.
  • Experience developing retail activations that increase sell-in and consumer sales.
  • Proven experience planning, delivering and evaluating integrated marketing campaigns.
  • A strong commercial mindset and the ability to connect marketing activity with sales and financial objectives.
  • Experience managing media campaigns and working with media or creative agencies.
  • Knowledge of digital and social marketing, including influencer activity.
  • Experience using consumer insights, market trends and campaign data to inform decisions.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience working collaboratively across commercial, creative and marketing teams.
  • Confidence preparing presentations, pitch materials and business review documents.
  • Experience working within a large matrix organisation would be beneficial.
  • Basic knowledge of performance marketing would be advantageous.
