Position Overview
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Finance Systems, the Senior Analyst will work closely with finance stakeholders to support planning, analysis, and system optimization. This role focuses on maintaining financial systems, ensuring accurate reporting, and driving best practices across budgeting, forecasting, and data consolidation.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the subject matter expert for the organization's finance system.
- Gather, analyze, and document requirements for financial processes and translate them into system configurations or enhancements.
- Collaborate with finance teams to improve workflows such as accounts payable, general ledger, and project budgeting.
- Support integrations between finance systems and other platforms.
- Assist with mapping, reconciliation, and issue resolution between connected systems.
- Contribute to reporting system upgrades and enhancements.
- Develop and execute test plans, including unit and user acceptance testing.
- Provide end-user training, support, and documentation for finance system processes.
- Troubleshoot issues and coordinate with technical support teams for resolution.
- Ensure compliance with financial controls, audit standards, and data governance policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance systems analysis, with at least 3 years working with ERP or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of core finance processes (GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, budgeting).
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel (including macros), and reporting tools.
- Experience with system integrations and data migration projects.
- Excellent analytical and problem‐solving skills.
- Strong communication skills to bridge technical and non‐technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in project‐based or contract revenue environments.
- Familiarity with modern ERP platforms and upgrade paths.
- Exposure to enterprise reporting tools and financial consolidation systems.
- Relevant certifications in ERP or finance systems.
- Experience with Agile or hybrid project management methodologies.
