Role Overview

Hands‐on role focused on executing and negotiating collaborative research partnerships. The emphasis is on research contract delivery, not sales or senior strategic leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute end‐to‐end research contract negotiation and delivery
  • Manage a high‐volume portfolio of research agreements (25–80/year)
  • Negotiate IP, joint development, data use, publication, and open‐source terms
  • Support industry–academic research collaborations in physical sciences & engineering
  • Work closely with researchers, legal teams, and external partners
  • Ensure contracts are practical, executable, and optimise IP value

Required Experience

  • Proven experience negotiating research contracts or research partnerships
  • Background in research partnerships or applied research operations (not sales)
  • Experience with IP and joint development frameworks
  • Comfortable in a delivery‐focused, operational role
  • Bachelor's degree required; science or engineering background preferred
