Role Overview
Hands‐on role focused on executing and negotiating collaborative research partnerships. The emphasis is on research contract delivery, not sales or senior strategic leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute end‐to‐end research contract negotiation and delivery
- Manage a high‐volume portfolio of research agreements (25–80/year)
- Negotiate IP, joint development, data use, publication, and open‐source terms
- Support industry–academic research collaborations in physical sciences & engineering
- Work closely with researchers, legal teams, and external partners
- Ensure contracts are practical, executable, and optimise IP value
Required Experience
- Proven experience negotiating research contracts or research partnerships
- Background in research partnerships or applied research operations (not sales)
- Experience with IP and joint development frameworks
- Comfortable in a delivery‐focused, operational role
- Bachelor's degree required; science or engineering background preferred
