Our client is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented HR Operations Specialist to play a key role in establishing and embedding a robust HR Shared Services and Service Delivery model for their Nordics region and selected European countries. Based in the UK, this role will support employees and managers across Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Germany, and Slovakia, ensuring consistent, compliant, and high-quality HR operational delivery across the full employee lifecycle. The position is critical in creating scalable processes, strong governance, and an excellent employee experience across multiple jurisdictions.
Acting as a central point of contact for HR operational matters, the HR Operations Specialist will work closely with HR Business Partners, Payroll teams, and Centres of Excellence to ensure seamless service delivery, while also driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:
- Deliver end-to-end HR operational support across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contracts, employee data changes, and offboarding.
- Act as a trusted first point of contact for employees and managers, providing timely, professional, and solutions-focused HR support.
- Ensure HR data accuracy and compliance with local employment legislation, internal policies, and audit requirements across multiple countries.
- Partner closely with HR Business Partners, Payroll, and Centres of Excellence to resolve queries, manage exceptions, and ensure smooth service delivery.
- Develop, document, and maintain clear HR processes, process maps, and country-specific requirements to support consistency and knowledge sharing.
- Design and maintain an audit-ready digital filing and document management system for personnel records.
- Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline HR processes, improve service delivery, and enhance the employee experience.
This role would suit someone who brings:
- 3–5+ years' experience in HR Operations, HR Shared Services, or HR Service Delivery, ideally within a multi-country or matrix environment.
- Strong working knowledge of HR processes and employment legislation across multiple European jurisdictions (Nordics experience highly desirable).
- Proven experience supporting or building shared service or service delivery models.
- Advanced experience using HRIS and case management systems (e.g. Workday, ServiceNow, Jira or similar).
- A highly organised, detail-focused approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of improving processes and driving operational efficiency.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to build credibility with employees and managers at all levels.
