Senior Product Designer – Subscriptions
Global Fintech brand
Temp 3mth Contract
London/Hybrid
I’m hiring a Senior Product Designer for a well-known, highly trusted consumer tech business to work on a critical subscription initiative. This is a hands-on, UX-led contract role thats shaping the future of subscription flexibility, pricing and premium value. If you enjoy untangling complex journeys, feature gating, and monetisation challenges — this one’s for you.
The mission
You’ll be embedded in a mature, cross-functional product team, leading end-to-end product design across a subscription project that blends discovery, prototyping and validation.
You’ll partner closely with Product, Engineering, Research, E-commerce and Legal to design commercially impactful, user-centred experiences — from early concepts through to high-fidelity prototypes.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading UX discovery and validation around freemium models, pricing and monetisation
- Designing end-to-end journeys for subscription upgrades, downgrades, cross-sell, upsell and cancellation
- Exploring product tiering and feature gating to clearly articulate premium value
- Facilitating workshops and co-creation sessions with senior stakeholders
- Producing polished UI in Figma, using an established design system
- Championing accessibility, usability and compliance
- Working closely with Product Managers, Engineers and Researchers to balance user needs with commercial outcomes
To be considered:
- A Senior Product Designer with strong UX depth (this is key)
- Proven experience in subscription-based products, SaaS or e-commerce
- Case studies showing subscription models, feature gating or tiered products
- Comfortable taking work from discovery → prototype → validation
- Confident collaborating with Product, Engineering and senior stakeholders
- Excellent Figma skills (UI polish expected, but UX is the priority)
- A commercial mindset — you understand conversion, retention and value exchange
- Experience with experimentation, analytics or measuring design impact is a bonus
- Fintech or regulated industry experience is nice to have, not essential
