Oxford (Hybrid) | 3-Month Interim Contract | Immediate Start

Are you an experienced media and communications leader who can hit the ground running? We're looking for an Interim Head of External Media to join one of the UK's leading technology organisations on a 3-month temp contract, providing senior leadership during a key period of activity. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and can quickly assess priorities, build relationships and deliver impactful communications from day one.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Leading external media strategy across earned, shared and social media channels
  • Developing compelling narratives that bring complex technology and digital infrastructure stories
  • Managing relationships with national technology and business media
  • Acting as the senior communications lead for reputation management, reactive media handling and high-profile issues
  • Providing strategic counsel to senior stakeholders and preparing spokespeople for media engagements
  • Leading and supporting an existing communications team
  • Partnering across the business to identify newsworthy stories and deliver integrated communications campaigns
  • Monitoring media performance and measuring campaign impact

We're looking for someone who has:
