Our client Consumer Services Marketplace team works on innovative products and capabilities to help people make better financial decisions and get better offers when they need to borrow money. The Marketplace business has grown rapidly and includes market first initiatives. We are looking for a great product owner to join and help continue and accelerate growth ambitions.
The role involves working as part of a cross functional team including product, design, software engineering, quality assurance and commercial. The focus is on the delivery stage of the product lifecycle, working with product managers focused on strategy and discovery. Maintaining and improving our product experience is a critical part of the business, and product owners are a key part of this. It is a hybrid role with a requirement to come into the Nottingham office up to 2 days a week.
What you'll do
- You'll have ownership and focus of a team backlog, working closely with our engineering team to plan and deliver features aligned to the product vision and strategy.
- Work with a team to plan increments of work with stretching shared objectives and key results.
- Lead refinement of new work to create solutions to customer problems that deliver business value as well as lender and cross-system integrations.
- Work closely with product managers and product designers to create a great user experience.
- Champion continued incremental improvement to our product and tech platform.
- Ensure features meet acceptance criteria, achieve the desired outcome and are ready for release.
- Triage and management of bugs and issues that arise during software development.
- Manage and report product releases.
Qualifications
- A technical mindset or background with strengths in data-driven development and API integrations with internal and external partners.
- Ideally experience in development of a direct-to-consumer product as a product owner or similar role where you helped create and refine ideas through to delivery with development teams.
- A collaborative, positive attitude and ability to work in a team.
- Ability to unpick problems and make backlog priority calls.
- Experience or strong understanding of agile delivery methodologies.
- Experience or strong understanding of setting up, running and tracking of A/B testing and feature experiments.
Skills
- Product development of both web and mobile app experiences.
- Product development in a regulated business (financial services would be ideal).
