Music Publishing Partnerships Manager – EMEA
London – hybrid, ideally 3 days per week
We’re recruiting for a Music Publishing Partnerships Manager to join a leading global technology platform on a 12-month contract.
This is a senior partnerships role sitting at the intersection of music publishing and technology, working with publishers, collection societies and other music rights partners across EMEA.
You’ll act as a key point of contact for publishing partners, helping manage relationships, resolve operational issues and ensure the effective exchange of rights and usage data. You’ll also support business reviews, analyse partnership performance and provide insight into the evolving music publishing ecosystem.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing relationships with music publishers, collection societies/CMOs and other rights partners across EMEA
- Supporting the delivery and ongoing management of digital music licensing partnerships
- Working closely with operations teams around music rights data, content identification, reporting and payment
- Managing and triaging partner queries and operational issues
- Using data and analysis to support publishing strategy and partner business reviews
- Building relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders
- Providing insight into developments across the music publishing and digital licensing landscape
- Supporting partner initiatives and programmes involving publishers and songwriters
What we’re looking for
- Approximately 10+ years’ relevant experience within music publishing, rights management, collective management or digital music
- Significant experience working directly with music publishers and/or collection societies
- Strong understanding of digital music licensing and digital music business models
- Excellent knowledge of publishing rights, royalties and music rights data
- Experience managing complex external partnerships and senior stakeholders
- Comfortable working with data and using analysis to inform decisions
- Able to operate effectively in a fast-moving, high-intensity and evolving environment
- Experience with a major music publisher, collection society or digital music platform would be particularly relevant.
Important:
This role requires substantial music publishing expertise. Candidates whose experience is exclusively within recorded music/record labels without direct publishing experience are unlikely to be suitable.
The position is London-based with a preference for 3 days per week onsite, although some flexibility may be considered for an exceptional candidate. Some business travel may also be required.
