Location: Multi Purpose Private Estate – South East England – 1 hour from London
Job Type: Full-time, Fixed Term Contract – 5 days on site
Salary: Up to £ 85,000 pa depending on experience
We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Health & Safety for a multi purpose private estate based in South East England 1 hour from London. This role will require adaptability, innovative thinking, and the ability to manage health and safety protocols for an exceptionally wide range of departments and activities.
Duties to include ( but not limited to ) :
- Develop and enforce health and safety policies tailored to a private estate with highly varied operations, from hospitality and events to agricultural and technical teams.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and implement robust compliance measures across all departments.
- Provide practical safety solutions for both routine and highly specialised tasks.
- Deliver training and advice to staff, ensuring everyone understands and adheres to safety protocols.
- Investigate incidents, oversee reporting, and introduce preventative measures.
- Work closely with department leads to manage the diverse risks presented by activities ranging from mechanical maintenance to grounds
Requirements:
- Experience in a senior health and safety role, ideally in a highly varied or complex operational environment.
- Understanding of UK health & safety regulations.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills
- Team Management experience
- Flexibility and resilience to manage a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
