Overview
Finance Manager ( Qualified ) – Hybrid – Worcester. Location: Worcester, with travel to London. Permanent role with hybrid working arrangements.
Job: Finance Manager – Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA. Sector: Professional Services. Salary: up to £70,000 depending on experience + Car allowance. Must have: Financial Control & Reporting.
Responsibilities
- Own the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and continuous refinement.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring robust financial controls and data integrity.
- Identify and implement improvements to streamline reporting and strengthen governance.
- Lead the preparation of quarterly accounts and financial statements for a high-profile client.
- Manage audit queries with professionalism and agility, ensuring compliance and transparency.
- Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP using CCH as the reporting software.
- Build strong relationships with client stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on accounting matters.
Leadership & Development
- Inspire and lead a team of Management Accountants, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and continuous improvement.
- Encourage innovation and challenge the status quo to enhance team performance and process efficiency.
- Support Costs Business Partnering
- Collaborate with support cost centre leads to provide insightful financial analysis and challenge assumptions.
- Support budgeting and forecasting cycles, driving clarity and alignment with strategic goals.
Qualifications
- A commercially orientated qualified Finance professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Experience in Big 4 audit could be advantageous.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a finance leadership role with a track record of driving improvements.
- Strong technical accounting skills and a problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Power BI experience is a plus.
- Experience with Workday, Adaptive Insights, Sage 50 and CCH is preferable.
