CMG are looking for an experienced Finance Systems Manager to join a leading real estate investment firm in the heart of London, where you’ll own and enhance the finance ERP landscape, drive automation and reporting improvements, and partner with finance, asset management, and IT to deliver best‑in‑class system performance.
In this high‑impact role, you’ll shape the evolution of our real estate ERP, strengthen controls, optimise workflows, and empower users across the business—all within a dynamic, collaborative, and fast‑growing investment environment.
- Act as the primary owner and subject matter expert for Horizon/MRI, providing day‑to‑day support to the finance teams as well as external managing agents.
- Lead the implementation, optimisation, and ongoing development of Horizon to meet evolving business, reporting, and real estate accounting requirements.
- Ensure Horizon fully supports an efficient financial close, maintaining stable configuration, accurate data flows, and reliable reporting structures.
- Maintain and update SOPs, system controls, access permissions, and finance process documentation relating to Horizon, ensuring compliance with internal governance and audit frameworks.
- Drive process automation and continuous improvement across finance, including enhancements to workflows, reporting, data quality, and user experience.
- Manage Horizon configuration, upgrades, module enhancements, and release cycles, including planning, testing, UAT, and deployment.
- Support and oversee data structures, integrations, and interfaces between Horizon and other internal systems.
- Partner with IT on system architecture, enhancements, integrations, and data governance initiatives.
- Provide clear documentation of system changes, workflows, integrations, and data flows to support audit requirements and future scalability.
- Support internal and external audit processes by ensuring high‑quality Horizon data, documentation, and strong internal controls.
Experience in report writing using SSRS and freehand SQL.
5+ years’ experience in finance systems roles, with strong hands‑on expertise in Horizon or MRI; Strong understanding of real estate finance and property accounting.
Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with finance teams, IT, and senior stakeholders.
Active contract management of ERP providers.
Accounting qualification.
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
Proven experience in ERP implementation, configuration, testing, integrations, and system improvement projects.
