Electrical Contracts ManagerLocation: Near East Midlands Airport Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: £42,500 £47,500 (DOE)About the Company:We are a well-established and growing electrical compliance contractor delivering high-quality services across the commercial sector. Due to continued expansion, we are looking to appoint an Electrical Contracts Manager to join our Electrical Management Team.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Supervisor or Contracts/Project Manager ready to take the next step in their career within a supportive and forward-thinking business.The Role:As an Electrical Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for managing and delivering multiple electrical compliance and service contracts from inception through to completion.Our projects span a wide range of commercial environments including schools, offices, industrial facilities, warehouses, public buildings, and healthcare settings.Key Responsibilities:Operational & Contract ManagementManage and lead a team of approximately 10 field-based engineersAct as the day-to-day operational lead for your teamLiaise with clients, site personnel, and subcontractorsMonitor project progress, reporting on completed works and escalating issues as requiredEnsure all work meets quality, safety, and compliance standardsManage labour allocation, materials, and contract requirementsIdentify and implement improvements to contract efficiencyAttend client meetings to review performance, progress, and requirementsConduct site visits to ensure smooth delivery of worksCarry out site surveys to support estimating activitiesComplete associated paperwork and documentationTechnical & ComplianceProvide technical guidance and support to engineers in the fieldEnsure compliance with BS 7671 , Electricity at Work Regulations, and relevant Codes of PracticeSupport delivery of electrical compliance services including:EICRsEmergency lighting testingThermal imagingRemedial worksPeople ManagementSupport the wider management team with people-related mattersContribute to HR processes, including disciplinary meetings where requiredProvide factual input to ensure fair and consistent outcomesAbout You:You will be a technically strong and organised electrical professional, capable of managing multiple contracts while maintaining high standards of compliance and customer service.Essential Requirements:Minimum 2 years experience as an Electrical Supervisor or Contracts/Project ManagerProven experience delivering electrical compliance services (EICRs, emergency lighting, thermal imaging, remedials)NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (C&G 2382-18 or later)Electrical Inspection & Testing (C&G 2391 or equivalent)Strong knowledge of BS 7671 and Electricity at Work RegulationsExperience managing commercial electrical contractsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong communication and IT skills (e.g. Word, Excel)Full UK driving licence and willingness to travelPersonal Attributes:Self-motivated, organised, and proactiveStrong leadership and team management skillsExcellent customer service and communication abilitiesReliable with a professional approachBenefits:Company van or car allowanceFuel cardCompany pensionIncreased holiday entitlement with length of serviceOngoing training and career progression opportunitiesAnnual salary reviewsTPBN1_UKTJ
