Careermakers Recruitment is currently recruiting experienced Class 2 Tipper Drivers on behalf of a well-established client based in the Irlam area. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers with muck-away experience looking for regular weekday work with competitive pay and no handballing involved.

You will be paid: £14.35 - £16.08 per hour (PAYE) depending on experience.

You will be joining a growing team committed to delivering reliable and efficient transport solutions across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a Class 2 tipper truck to transport materials (e.g., aggregates, sand, gravel) to various sites.
  • Safely load and unload using the vehicle's tipping mechanism - no manual handling required.
  • Ensure timely and accurate deliveries across designated routes.
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks and report any defects.
  • Communicate effectively with the transport team regarding routes and updates.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and vehicle condition reports.
  • Comply with all relevant road safety, transport legislation, and company policies.
Requirements:
  • Muck-away experience is essential.
  • Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
  • Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
  • Minimum 2 years Class 2 driving experience (for insurance purposes).
  • Strong working knowledge of UK road networks and driving regulations.
  • A professional, punctual, and safety-first approach.
  • No more than 6 penalty points (no major convictions).
