Careermakers Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client for a flexible and reliable Class 2 Driver to support their transport operation. This role primarily involves driving a Toyota Hilux pickup with a twin-axle trailer, with the added responsibility of covering 32-tonne vehicles during holidays and sickness, providing essential flexibility within the transport team.
Key Responsibilities- Operate a Toyota Hilux pickup and twin-axle trailer safely and efficiently
- Cover driving duties on 32T trucks when required
- Support the wider transport operation with flexibility
- Complete daily vehicle checks and associated paperwork
- Adhere to all road safety, tachograph, and company procedures
- Represent the company professionally at all times
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence (essential)
- Confident towing experience with a twin-axle trailer
- Willingness to work long hours when required
- Reliable, flexible, can-do attitude
- Strong understanding of UK driving and safety regulations
- Contracted 10 hours per day (average 12+ hours)
- Paid breaks – no deductions for tachograph breaks
- Overtime (Mon–Fri): Standard rate
- Saturdays: Time and a half
- Sundays: Double time
