We are currently recruiting for an experienced CAP Engineer (Competent Assessed Person) to join our team within the powered access industry on a full-time basis.

Role Overview
A CAP Engineer is an IPAF-authorised, highly competent professional responsible for the planning, management, and completion of statutory inspections on powered access equipment. This role represents the highest level of inspection competence within the powered access sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out thorough statutory inspections of MEWPs, MCWPs, and construction hoists
- Ensuring full compliance with LOLER and relevant safety regulations
- Planning, managing, and conducting inspections beyond standard servicing and maintenance
- Assessing machine safety, identifying defects, and ensuring corrective actions are completed
- Maintaining accurate inspection records and certification documentation
- Working closely with engineering and operations teams to uphold safety standards
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar CAP Engineer role within the powered access industry is essential
- Valid IPAF CAP certification and IPAF PAL Card - essential
- Typically 4+ years' experience working with powered access equipment
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and fault-finding knowledge
- Excellent understanding of LOLER, PUWER, and industry compliance standards
- Ability to work independently with a high level of responsibility
