We are currently recruiting experienced Children’s Residential Support Workers to support a range of children’s residential homes across the North West on an agency basis. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for flexible work, additional shifts, or a pathway for temp to permanent position within a children’s residential setting.
The Role
You will be supporting children and young people within residential care settings, helping to provide a safe, nurturing and structured environment while promoting positive outcomes and independence. Duties may include:
- Supporting children and young people with their day-to-day needs
- Building positive and professional relationships
- Encouraging participation in education, activities and life skills
- Completing daily records and incident reports
- Supporting behaviour management strategies and care plans
- Promoting safeguarding and wellbeing at all times
- Working alongside multidisciplinary teams and external professionals
Requirements
- Previous experience working within a Children’s Residential Home
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins
