About the Company: We are a long-established dairy manufacturing and distribution business with a reputation for quality, reliability, and excellent customer service. The Role: We are looking for an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to join our production team. This is a hands-on supervisory role overseeing multiple departments and ensuring production targets, quality standards, and health & safety requirements are consistently achieved. The successful candidate will ideally come from a food production or manufacturing background and have a good understanding of production machinery and processes. Previous machine operator experience would be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily operations across the two departments (10 members of staff)
  • Lead, support, and motivate production teams to achieve production targets.
  • Manage and oversee temporary workers, ensuring they are working safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor production schedules and ensure work is completed on time.
  • Ensure machinery is operating effectively and escalate any issues as required.
  • Maintain high standards of product quality, hygiene, and food safety.
  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide guidance and support where necessary.
  • Liaise with management and other departments to ensure smooth production operations.
  • Assist with training and onboarding new team members and temporary staff.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supervising in a production environment.
  • Strong understanding of production machinery and manufacturing processes.
  • Machine operator experience would be beneficial.
  • Experience supervising teams within a production environment.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 48 hours
