Job Title: Senior Residential Care Worker
Locations: Chorley & Winsford
Salary: £15/hour + £60 per sleep-in (~£35,000/year)
Rota: 2 days on, 4 days off
Contract: Full-time (includes evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins)
About the Role
Our client provides specialist residential care for children affected by emotional and behavioural difficulties due to neglect, abuse, or trauma. They are looking for a skilled SeniorResidential Care Worker to help lead care teams and support young people in their Chorley and Winsford homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and safeguard young people, acting as a positive role model
- Supervise care staff and manage daily operations
- Plan and lead shifts, ensuring quality care delivery
- Attend reviews and represent young peoples interests
- Assist with recruitment, training, and staff development
- Deputise for the Registered or Deputy Manager when needed
Requirements
- Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People Workforce (or equivalent)
- Experience in residential childcare and team supervision
- Strong knowledge of care regulations and safeguarding
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence (desirable)
- Level 4/5 qualifications or therapeutic experience (desirable)
