A flagship, purpose-built Low Secure Children's Residential Home is being launched in Market Weighton. This is a rare opportunity to lead a high-specification site from the ground up. The facility will feature 12 luxury ensuite bedrooms and professionally landscaped gardens, currently undergoing a premium refurbishment due for completion within 34 months. We are seeking a high-calibre Responsible Individual to lead this project, ensuring the highest standards of clinical care, safety, and commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Launch & Compliance: Lead the initial setup, including the development of robust Ofsted-compliant policies and procedures.
- Team Building: Recruit, train, and mentor a full multidisciplinary team.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day operations, maintaining a focus on therapeutic outcomes and achieving Outstanding regulatory ratings.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for Children's Services and Local Authorities to secure placements and build strong partnerships.
- Commercial Oversight: Manage budgets and drive financial performance through effective commercial leadership.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
- (Ofsted) Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years experience within the last 5 years working in a position relevant to residential childcare.
- At least 1 year in a supervisory/management role within a children's residential setting.
- Thorough understanding of Ofsted regulations, including the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
- Proven experience in achieving Ofsted ratings of Good or Outstanding.
- Ability to meet the fit person requirements for both Registered Manager and Responsible Individual roles under Ofsted.
