CareerMakers Recruitment are looking for a Press Brake Operator to join our busy client in Lytham (FY8). The overall purpose of the role is to work individually and on occasions as part of a team to operate a range of machinery to produce a variety of metal materials with manual and automated equipment, to a high quality standard meeting hourly production targets.
Duties:
- Maintaining high quality standards at all times for standard and bespoke products
- Maintaining H&S standards following instructions and wearing of appropriate PPE
- Proactive communication with supervisors, managers and Quality Control regarding production, quality and H&S issues
- Maintaining a clean and tidy work area
Experience:
- Previous experience of Trumpf machines
- Previous experience of using measuring equipment
- Practical awareness of lean manufacturing and understanding of 5S activities
- Understanding of Engineering drawings
- Previous experience of working in engineering sheet metal production, setting and operating CNC press-brakes
- Understanding of basic IT
- Regular quality checks
- Following internal processes
- Completing paperwork
Working Hours:
- Days: Mon-Thurs, 7am - 4:30pm
- Nights: Mon - Thurs, 6pm - 6am
Pay rate: £14 - £16
