Location: Partington, Manchester (M31)
Pay Rate: Β£13.51 per hour (Β£12.51 + Β£1.00 night rate)
Overtime: Β£19.77 per hour (after 40 hours)
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Shift: Nights Sunday to Thursday
Hours & Breaks: 22:00 - 06:30, 40 hours per week, 20 minutes paid break + 30 minutes unpaid
The Role: We are looking for a Maintenance Assistant (Nights) to support Maintenance Engineers in the smooth running of a busy manufacturing plant. This is a hands-on, development role where full training will be provided. You will assist with planned and reactive maintenance, breakdowns, cleaning of equipment, and general plant maintenance, working closely with experienced engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with scheduled and breakdown maintenance
- Support cleaning and upkeep of plant and machinery
- Carry out general maintenance tasks as directed
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures
About You:
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Mechanical or engineering background preferred
- Practical, hands-on approach and willing to learn
- Able to take direction and communicate well
- Physically fit - role involves working at height and in confined spaces
- No formal maintenance experience required - training provided.
