We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for our client based in Preston (PR2). This is an ongoing Monday to Friday role with the opportunity to secure a permanent contract with the company.
Job Details:
- Role: HGV Class 1 Driver (Collections Only)
- Location: Preston (PR2)
- Start Date: Immediate
- Pay Rate: £15.28 per hour + 28 days paid holiday
- After 12 weeks: £16.36 per hour + 28 days paid holiday
- Overtime paid at x1.5 after 40 hours
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Type: Ongoing work / temp-to-perm opportunity
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out collection-only routes (no deliveries)
- Complete up to 10 collection stops per day
- Perform manual handling when required
- Ensure safe and compliant vehicle operation
- Complete paperwork and follow site procedures
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 12 months Class 1 experience
- Good knowledge of UK road networks
- Reliable and professional approach
