Career Makers Recruitment currently looking for Brazing Operators to join our client based in Accrington, BB5 area.
Duties: Prepare components for brazing.
Select the appropriate filler metals and fluxes.
Set up and operate brazing equipment.
Produce high-quality brazed joints in line with engineering specifications.
Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards.
Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
Maintain brazing equipment and keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
Safe handling of compressed gases and fuel cylinders.
Correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Awareness of fire safety procedures and ventilation requirements.
Ability to carry out visual inspections of brazed joints.
Competent in using measuring equipment such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
Understanding of brazed joint quality standards and acceptance criteria.
Skills and experience: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
Understanding of brazing processes, filler metals, and fluxes.
Knowledge of a range of base materials, including steel, stainless steel, copper, brass, and aluminium.
Experience with heating methods such as torch, induction, or furnace brazing.
Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as required.
Good eyesight, including colour recognition where applicable.
Working hours : Monday - Friday: 7.45am - 4.15pm
