Salary: £14.50 - £14.75 per hour + £60 sleep rate
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Team Leader to join a children's residential home in Bolton, supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs. This role is ideal for a motivated and experienced residential childcare professional looking to take the next step into leadership, or further develop within a Team Leader position.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead shifts and support the day-to-day operation of the home
- Provide supervision, guidance, and support to staff to maintain high standards of care
- Support the development and implementation of care plans and risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with The Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and safeguarding frameworks
- Promote positive behaviour support and manage challenging behaviours effectively
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and case documentation
- Contribute to care reviews, planning meetings, and multi-agency working
- Support the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager in the overall running of the home
- Act as a role model through direct work with children and young people
Requirements
- Previous experience within children's residential care
- Level 3 in Children's Residential
- Experience working at Senior/Team Leader level (or ready to step up)
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and Ofsted regulations
- Ability to lead shifts and support staff development
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
