CareerMakers Recruitment are seeking a manual/CNC lathe machinist for our client based in Leeds, LS13. We are looking for someone with the relevant experience in the following:
- Proving out new programs and setting and operating CNC machinery for both large and small batch work.
- Must have knowledge of working with various materials.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all departments and functions.
- This job may entail working on more than one machine within the machine shop.
- Machine cleaning and maintenance.
- The ability to read engineering drawings.
- Ability to work to a high standard, working to tight tolerances with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience using measurement/inspection equipment including verniers, bore gauges, micrometers, etc.
- Work within company quality procedures to ensure precision and compliance.
To be successful in this role you must have excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to demonstrate and practice common sense, showing initiative and forward thinking.
Working hours: Mon Tues 7:30am - 4:00pm, Wed Thurs 7:30am - 4:30pm, Fri 7:30am - 1:30pm.
Salary: From £28,000 per annum.
