We are looking for a versatile and motivated Electrical Engineer to join a growing team at a long-established UK manufacturer known for delivering high-quality LV and MV switchgear systems across sectors including utilities, rail, and construction. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a hands-on engineering environment, contributing to innovative, safety-critical solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Designing and assembling low and medium voltage switchgear systems
- Using SolidWorks to create and modify 3D models and manufacturing drawings
- Performing electrical panel layout, wiring, and fault diagnostics
- Using CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical) for schematic and layout design
- Collaborating with internal teams on design, build, and testing
- Managing small to mid-size projects from concept to delivery (experience in project management is a strong plus)
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in electrical switchgear systems
- Strong SolidWorks and CAD (2D/3D) proficiency
- Practical electrical knowledge (wiring, testing, fault finding)
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach
- Project management skills or experience coordinating projects are highly desirable
- Team player with good communication skills and a proactive attitude
The Offer:
- Salary: £42,000 - £46,000 depending on experience
- Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00am - 4:00pm; early finish Fridays
