We are looking for a versatile and motivated Electrical Engineer to join a growing team at a long-established UK manufacturer known for delivering high-quality LV and MV switchgear systems across sectors including utilities, rail, and construction. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a hands-on engineering environment, contributing to innovative, safety-critical solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Designing and assembling low and medium voltage switchgear systems
  • Using SolidWorks to create and modify 3D models and manufacturing drawings
  • Performing electrical panel layout, wiring, and fault diagnostics
  • Using CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical) for schematic and layout design
  • Collaborating with internal teams on design, build, and testing
  • Managing small to mid-size projects from concept to delivery (experience in project management is a strong plus)

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in electrical switchgear systems
  • Strong SolidWorks and CAD (2D/3D) proficiency
  • Practical electrical knowledge (wiring, testing, fault finding)
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach
  • Project management skills or experience coordinating projects are highly desirable
  • Team player with good communication skills and a proactive attitude

The Offer:

  • Salary: £42,000 - £46,000 depending on experience
  • Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00am - 4:00pm; early finish Fridays
