Location: Dukinfield, SK16

Salary: £28,000 – £31,000 per year

Hours: 36.5 hours per week – Day Shift 07:45 – 16:00 or 08:45 – 17:00

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Industrial Quality Controller / QA Engineer to join our manufacturing team. This role focuses on maintaining high product quality standards, reducing defects and supporting continuous improvement across production processes. You will work closely with Production, Engineering and Technical teams to ensure products meet customer and company quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out quality inspections on raw materials, in-process production and finished products
  • Monitor production processes and ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Investigate quality issues and support root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Support internal audits, quality checks and process improvements
  • Analyse quality data, KPIs and non-conformance reports
  • Maintain accurate quality documentation and inspection records
  • Work with Production and Engineering teams to improve manufacturing performance
  • Support customer and supplier quality concerns when required
  • Assist with implementation of new testing and inspection methods
  • Promote a strong quality and continuous improvement culture on site

Essential Skills & Experience

  • 3–5 years’ experience in quality control, quality assurance or manufacturing
  • Previous experience in an industrial or production environment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with inspections, audits and quality systems
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Fluent English language skills

Desirable

  • Qualification or background in Chemistry, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality or a related field
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
  • Experience handling customer quality issues
  • Additional language skills such as Italian or Spanish
