Location: St Helens

Salary: £14.07 – £16.69 per hour + £50 sleep-in allowance (6–10 per month)

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join a children’s residential home in St Helens. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker or existing Deputy Manager who is passionate about providing high-quality care and support to children and young people.

The Role:

Working alongside the Registered Manager, you will help oversee the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding and compliance are consistently maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Registered Manager with the daily operation of the home
  • Lead, supervise and support residential care staff
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards
  • Assist with staff supervision, appraisals and performance management
  • Support care planning, risk assessments and placement reviews
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Promote positive outcomes for children and young people
  • Assist with recruitment, training and staff development
  • Deputise for the Registered Manager when required
  • Participate in the on-call rota

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within children’s residential care
