About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader to support the delivery of high-quality care within children’s residential homes across the Midlands and surrounding areas. Working alongside the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager, you will lead and support a team to provide safe, nurturing, and child-centred care. You will play a key role in supporting children to develop resilience, build positive relationships, and achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate, and support Residential Support Workers
- Deliver high-quality, child-centred care
- Support children with daily routines, education, and activities
- Promote positive behaviour and support de-escalation strategies
- Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and reviews
- Ensure safeguarding practices are consistently followed
- Build effective relationships with families and professionals
- Support staff development through supervision and mentoring
Requirements:
Essential:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Experience working within children’s residential care
- Experience in a senior or leadership role
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Level 5 qualification (or working towards)
- Experience supervising or mentoring staff
- Experience supporting children with complex needs
