About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader to support the delivery of high-quality care within children’s residential homes across the Midlands and surrounding areas. Working alongside the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager, you will lead and support a team to provide safe, nurturing, and child-centred care. You will play a key role in supporting children to develop resilience, build positive relationships, and achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and support Residential Support Workers
  • Deliver high-quality, child-centred care
  • Support children with daily routines, education, and activities
  • Promote positive behaviour and support de-escalation strategies
  • Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and reviews
  • Ensure safeguarding practices are consistently followed
  • Build effective relationships with families and professionals
  • Support staff development through supervision and mentoring

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Experience working within children’s residential care
  • Experience in a senior or leadership role
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • Level 5 qualification (or working towards)
  • Experience supervising or mentoring staff
  • Experience supporting children with complex needs
