Careermakers is recruiting part-time and full-time professional experienced Vehicle Collection & Delivery drivers to complement our client's current team. As one of our drivers, you will be provided with vehicle movements for collection and delivery of commercial vehicles from a multitude of locations for businesses and retail customers. There’s no loading/unloading, no handball as you deliver the trucks themselves!
The role includes:
- Vehicle delivery direct to customer and to another depot
- Collecting vehicles from customers when coming off hire, or from another depot
- Taking a driver to collect a vehicle or picking a driver up who has made a delivery
- Accurate completion of all relevant paperwork
You will need:
- PPE safety boots and high visibility workwear (dark cargo type trousers or black jeans, dark polo t-shirt, dark sweatshirt or jumper, coat)
- Valid driver's licence and a clean driving record with no traffic violations
- Valid CPC and Digi-Tacho cards
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- The knowledge and initiative to solve basic problems and make routine decisions
- Good interpersonal skills as this is a client-facing position
- The ability to complete paperwork in an orderly fashion
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- No more than 6 points on your licence with no major endorsements (DR10, IN10, TT99, CD40)
About the job:
- Work starts between 7 am and 7.30 am
- Work is temporary, ongoing, 2-5 days per week, Monday to Friday with overtime available
- Pay rate: £16.13 - £18.07 (holiday included)
