About the Role
CareerMakers Recruitment is currently looking for reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers for ongoing general haulage work across Trafford Park. This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work with immediate starts and regular shift patterns. You'll be representing reputable logistics and distribution companies operating in a professional environment with clean, modern vehicles and structured routes. For the right candidates, there is also potential to progress into a permanent position with one of our established clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily operation of HGV Class 2 (Category C) vehicles for deliveries and collections
- Completing multi-drop or trunking assignments, often palletised via tail lift or forklift
- Ensuring safe and efficient delivery of goods to commercial sites and depots
- Carrying out vehicle checks and completing all necessary documentation
- Interacting professionally with customers and site personnel
- Adhering to all road transport laws and company procedures
Requirements:
- A valid UK HGV Class 2 Licence (Category C)
- CPC Qualification Card and Digital Tachograph Card
- Ideally 2 years of Class 2 driving experience; however, exceptions may be considered for the right candidate
- A good understanding of UK road networks and regulations
- A strong work ethic, good timekeeping, and positive attitude
- A willingness to adapt to different routes and client requirements
Pay & Benefits:
- £14.50 - £16.25 per hour (PAYE) depending on shift and client
- Overtime rates: £16.00 - £17.93 per hour after standard hours
- Weekly pay every Friday
