CareerMakers Recruitment are currently looking for HGV Class 1 (C+E) Night Drivers on behalf of our client based in Preston. Due to continued business growth and high demand, we have both ongoing and ad-hoc night shifts available offering you flexibility and stability in line with your availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out nationwide night trunking deliveries and collections
- Secure all loads correctly and safely
- Complete pre- and post-use vehicle checks, reporting any defects promptly
- Maintain communication with the transport office throughout the shift
- Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and returned as required
- Maintain a high standard of safety, compliance, and professionalism
Requirements:
- A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence
- CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card
- Minimum 1 yearβs Class 1 experience in the UK (required for insurance)
- No more than 6 points on your licence no DR, IN, or TT endorsements
- Strong knowledge of EU driving hours, WTD, and transport legislation
- Professional, reliable, and able to work independently
