We are recruiting for an experienced Team Leader to join a children’s residential home in Burton-on-Trent, supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs within a safe and therapeutic environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Residential Support Worker looking to progress into a leadership role within a supportive and child-focused service.

Pay & Shift Details

  • £15.20 per hour with overtime paid at an additional £1.25 per hour after 170 hours per month.
  • The role is contracted at 155 hours per month and includes sleep-in payments.
  • Shifts typically run from 7:30am to 11:00pm, with sleep-ins from 11:00pm to 8:00am.
  • Where waking nights are required during sleep-in shifts, these are paid at the standard hourly rate.
  • The rota includes weekends and varies between 2–3 shifts per week depending on scheduling.

The Role

As Team Leader, you will support the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager with the day-to-day running of the home. You will lead shifts, supervise staff, and help maintain high standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance. You will also act as a Key Worker for young people, supporting care planning, risk assessments, and multi-agency working. A key part of the role involves promoting independence, emotional well-being, and personal development.
