We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of Building Management System (BMS) projects of varying size and complexity. Working with Mechanical & Electrical Contractors, Construction Contractors, and End Users, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, to specification, and with high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Responsibility
- Review and manage project handover from sales
- Interpret specifications and drawings to ensure alignment with project scope
- Prepare technical submissions and descriptions of operation
- Design control panels and oversee technical documentation
- Produce Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals
- Suppliers & Subcontractors:
- Procure control panels and associated equipment
- Liaise with suppliers and manage technical correspondence
- Appoint and manage subcontractors, including issuing subcontract orders
- Oversee day-to-day performance of suppliers and subcontractors
- Client & Customer Management:
- Act as the main point of contact for clients and customers
- Provide regular progress updates and reports
- Attend site meetings and maintain strong working relationships
- Submit RFIs (Requests for Information) and TQs (Technical Queries)
- Communicate lead times, project durations, and key milestones
- Engineering Coordination:
- Prepare I/O schedules for panel manufacture
- Ensure panel designs meet project requirements
- Oversee development of graphics and control software
- Ensure successful commissioning and completion of all documentation
- Commercial & Accounts Awareness:
- Monitor project costs and margins, identifying opportunities for improvement
- Ensure timely and accurate invoicing aligned with project milestones
- Track supplier and subcontractor costs against budget
