Due to continued expansion, we are looking to appoint an Electrical Contracts Manager to join our Electrical Management Team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Supervisor or Contracts/Project Manager ready to take the next step in their career within a supportive and forward-thinking business.

The Role:

As an Electrical Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for managing and delivering multiple electrical compliance and service contracts from inception through to completion. Our projects span a wide range of commercial environments including schools, offices, industrial facilities, warehouses, public buildings, and healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational & Contract Management
    • Manage and lead a team of approximately 10 field-based engineers
    • Act as the day-to-day operational lead for your team
    • Liaise with clients, site personnel, and subcontractors
    • Monitor project progress, reporting on completed works and escalating issues as required
    • Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards
    • Manage labour allocation, materials, and contract requirements
    • Identify and implement improvements to contract efficiency
    • Attend client meetings to review performance, progress, and requirements
    • Conduct site visits to ensure smooth delivery of works
    • Carry out site surveys to support estimating activities
    • Complete associated paperwork and documentation
  • Technical & Compliance
    • Provide technical guidance and support to engineers in the field
    • Ensure compliance with BS 7671, Electricity at Work Regulations, and relevant Codes of Practice
    • Support delivery of electrical compliance services including: EICRs, Emergency lighting testing, Thermal imaging, Remedial works
  • People Management
    • Support the wider management team with people-related matters
    • Contribute to HR processes, including disciplinary meetings where required
    • Provide factual input to ensure fair and consistent outcomes

About You:

You will be a technically strong and organised electrical professional, capable of managing multiple contracts while maintaining high standards of compliance and customer service.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years experience as an Electrical Supervisor or Contracts/Project Manager
  • Proven experience delivering electrical compliance services (EICRs, emergency lighting, thermal imaging, remedials)
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation
  • 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (C&G 2382-18 or later)
  • Electrical Inspection & Testing (C&G 2391 or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of BS 7671 and Electricity at Work Regulations
  • Experience managing commercial electrical contracts
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication and IT skills (e.g. Word, Excel)
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
